Australian wine exports plunged 18% in value last year to $1.6 billion. Volume fell 11%.
Australia is the world’s sixth largest wine producer, behind France, Italy, Spain, the U.S. and Argentina. The UK, Australia’s No. 1 export market, saw volume fall 18.2% and U.S. volume fell 26.5%.
